When I went to Westfields at Derby recently I was fascinated watching people having the dead
skin on their feet being eaten off by fish
No the fish aren't piranha but little Garra Rufa fish fron Kangal Lake in Turkey.
Apparently the fish therapy is a holistic treatment that gives a smooth overall glow.
I think I will pass especially since I have terrible nails on my large toes caused by football
injuries.

Christmas Presents
Because of the bad weather we have had recently many Christmas presents ordered on line are held up in courier warehouses as deliveries have been difficult.
My son Chris works for a well known courier company and they have been on the receiving end of many irate customers.
Unfortunately there is little they can do except axcept the abuse!
Chris then comes home and helps me with my internet business www.johnbeaumontcashmachine.com/bootcamp so he gets very tired.

House Prices etc.
Had a grin to myself when I saw the headline of the Daily Express yesterday.
They stated that house prices had risen in the UK by £5000 over the past year. Then they had
an article about how interest rates could rise shortly. First the good news then the bad! Talk
about "softening us up"!

A Carol Service
Last night I was invited to a carol service by The Loughborough Students Union.
It was held at a local church and was brilliant. There must have been well over a
hundred young people there and the singing was awsome. Raised the hairs on the back
of the neck.
It was so nice to see young people thoroughly enjoying themselves without the use of
alcohol or drugs!
A really great evening.
Chris is still helping me with the new website for my internet business.

New Doors
Yep we had new doors installed upstairs yesterday.
Looking good. A local man came and did it for us at a very resonable price. He did a very good job.

Internet Marketing

What a Great Attitude
Hi there
Sue, my better half, works as a personal assistant to one of the senior professors at Loughborough University.
One of her special projects of late has been to set up a special relationship with the University of Malay as a result of which 8 engineering students are on a years placement with a major Malayan engineering company.
One of these students, a young lady has sent an article which has been published on the University website.
In it she has spoken of her first 4 months working in Malaya.
Despite the difficulties of very long tiresome hours and having to work 6 days a week in the extreme humidity which she is not used to she is full of enthusiasm.
As she says she is not just learning about how industry works and the technical side of the business she is also learning about new cultures, different people but perhaps most of all about herself.
She says "we are taking a little trip of self-discovery that no tutor, no exam, no text book and no library reference section could ever really teach you"
What a marvelous attitude.
I hope that in the future far more young people will have the opportunity to travel to a different country to continue their education. It is the best hope for the world's future.

In 1837 Isaa Pitman a 24 year old schoolteacher from Wiltshire in England published a book about shorthand writing.
In 1864 Sherman burns Atlanta.
